Full Face masks for diving
One of the many perks we had at Zen Resort in Bali was the chance to try a Full Face masks. This is the kind of things I had only seen in documentaries, since this is the only way for anyone to do voice recording underwater. I also remember seeing these in a dive shop in Hong Kong for a completely absurd price once.

Fiji is great but…

When I moved to Hong Kong, I quickly learned all the benefits of living in a new country. There’s so much to explore, the people, work culture and food are different and you realize there was a lot you assumed was “human behavior” but it was really very local. Sebastiao Salgado and the HKDRT – Diving show
Friday, Dec 12th seemed like it was one of those auspicious days on the Chinese calendar for a Brazilian underwater photographer . The stars were aligned and we had both the presence of Sebastiao Salgado un a FCC lunch and the opening of the Hong Kong “Diver and resort travel expo”. That must be a good start for a the weekend!
Sebastiao Salgado is, by a good margin, the best well known Brazilian photographer in the planet. And he is an economist, which is a great sign for me. He has shaken the world a few times with his blunt black...

It was such a happy feeling when we at the latest possible minute confirmed our trip to Anilao. The four of us had already been there and we absolutely knew what to expect, especially because we had what I believe is the best dive guide in Anilao to show us the critters again.
You can’t get disappointed there. I remember talking to a group of 8-10 Americans who had flown for 20+ hours to see a pygmy seahorse for the first time, after being divemasters and owning dive shops for almost 50 years.
